It fills me with joy to be able to address you all as the Secretary General for this conference. Lewis Carroll once stated, “In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take.” Our lives are a collection of choices, and the worst moments come when the thoughts of “what ifs” invade our minds. Even though taking risks may seem daunting, it is the only way to feel truly rewarded. You will fall once and then you will fall again, but what matters is learning to stand up and to keep going regardless of the hurdles that lay in your path. Resilience and determination have allowed me to reach this place in life, and this drive is what can push you to succeed in any endeavor you embark in. This conference is a labor of passion from everyone who participates, and it is my greatest wish that you all take this opportunity to learn and enjoy.

Thus, we welcome you to the AISMUN 2024 Internal Conference. Use this opportunity to exceed levels you’ve set in the past, and reach beyond the stars.

Throughout our lives, we are offered opportunities to develop our passions and abilities, where, as time passes, you might find a community that will change your life forever. Even though this path is not linear, your perseverance, consistency, and determination will open new doors as you continue to grow: as Ken Robinson stated, _“we create our lives symbiotically as we explore our talents in relation to the circumstances they help create for us.”_ With honor, I am thrilled to present to you the project which has completely transformed the way I act, and given a sense of belonging I will never forget.
